Robert Calderon started his career with Severud Associates in 2013 as a summer intern after finishing his undergraduate studies; he returned full time in 2014 when he completed grad school. He soon progressed to senior engineer and in 2020, he advanced to associate. Since his start, Rob has gained deep experience with concrete and structural steel buildings and is particularly adept with the design of steel renovations. Rob’s work on projects such as the Hood Museum of Art Expansion at Dartmouth College in Hanover, New Hampshire, and the Penn 2 office building redevelopment and New York University’s mixed-use John A. Paulson Center, both in New York City, has led to strong working relationships with architects, developers, and other clients. His other notable projects include NYU Langone Health’s Science Building and the Nike Flagship Store at 600 Fifth Avenue, both in Manhattan, and the Brooklyn Nets HSS Training Center in Brooklyn.
Rob is licensed as a structural engineer in Nevada and a professional engineer in New York. He earned a Bachelor of Science in civil engineering from the University of Vermont and a Master of Science in civil engineering from Columbia University.
