Kyle M. MacDonald, PE

Associate

Kyle MacDonald began his career at Severud Associates in 2016 as an engineer and progressed to senior engineer four years later. In 2022, he advanced to associate. Kyle has worked on several large projects such as Northwell Health’s South Shore University Hospital Expansion in Bay Shore, New York and New York University’s mixed-use John A. Paulson Center in Manhattan, through which he acquired expertise in aspects of theater design that include floor vibration attenuation, acoustic isolation, and rigging systems. Also adept with structural analysis and building information modeling software, Kyle has been more recently involved in the complex gravity design of the new corporate headquarters at 270 Park Avenue, which is located directly above active railroad tracks, and the Penn 2 office building redevelopment, both in New York City and also contributed to One Vanderbilt Avenue, one of the tallest buildings in Manhattan, and The Commons at Tulane University in New Orleans.

Kyle is licensed as a professional engineer in New York. He earned a Bachelor of Architectural Engineering and a Master of Architectural Engineering from Pennsylvania State University.
