Gerry Lourentzatos joined Severud Associates as an engineer in 2018. He progressed to senior engineer in 2022 and advanced to associate the following year. His work with parametric modeling, analysis, and optimization has facilitated multiple iterations of conceptual designs of high-rise office buildings, such as Penn 15 in New York City, by allowing rapid and efficient remodeling to incorporate revisions. Gerry’s recent projects include the John A. Paulson Center, a mix of residential, performing arts, and athletic facilities on the West Village campus of New York University and the new corporate headquarters at 270 Park Avenue, both in Manhattan, as well as Northwell Health’s Southside Hospital expansion in Bay Shore, New York. His renovation experience includes the Silver Center Renovation and Lab Expansion at NYU and the relocation of Mount Sinai Hospital’s Express Care center, both in New York City.
Gerry is licensed as a professional engineer in New York. He earned a Bachelor of Science in mechanical engineering from Binghamton University and a Master of Science in civil engineering from Columbia University.
