Donghao Liu

Senior Associate

 

Donghao Liu has over 15 years of experience in the field of structural engineering. He joined Severud Associates in 2005 as an engineer, progressed to senior engineer after six years, and advanced to associate in 2014. In 2021, Don was elevated to senior associate. In addition to his skills as a project manager and design team leader, Don has extensive knowledge of structural systems and materials that he uses to effectively engineer building projects, whether designing new construction or alterations to existing structures. Don has contributed to many noteworthy projects, including One Vanderbilt Avenue, one of the tallest office buildings in Manhattan, the Greenwich Lane condominiums and townhouses, also in Manhattan, and the Terminal 6 Redevelopment at JFK International Airport in Queens. His other significant projects include the “Transformation” of Madison Square Garden, the mixed-use 851 Avenue of the Americas, and Weill Cornell Medicine’s Belfer Research Building, all in New York City.

 

Don is licensed as a professional engineer in Connecticut. He earned a Bachelor of Science in civil engineering from South China University of Technology in Guangzhou and a Master of Science in civil engineering from Lehigh University.
